What is the difference between Tulle & Organza fabric?
Which of these 2 fabric is suitable for wedding veil & Sshawl to wrap around a bustier weeding gown?
FROM A WEDDING PROFFESIONAL: Tulle is used for veils and the under side of dresses to make them fuller. It is a very corse material and not recommended for a shawl. Organza, on the other hand is a very flowing fabric that catches light, and is nice to the touch. I suggest that you find “matching” tulle and organza to complement each other. I SUPPOSE you could make a veil out of organza, but it’s more opaque and it would make it hard for you to see through if you are going to wear your veil over your face. Go to a fabric store and ask to see samples of both. It’s your wedding and you should have what you want, but I will tell you that Tulle would make you miserable as a shawl. Good luck and remember … HAVE FUN!! You’ll still be married no matter what quirks get in the way. Those are the things that will make your wedding most memorable!! TRUST ME!!!!
