Beach Wedding Flowers for a Romantic Wedding
Beach wedding flowers are one of the highlights of having a tropical wedding. A lot of tropical locations like Caribbean and Hawaii have varieties of flowers with unique colors. Hawaii is known for the beautiful flowers, and there are colorful options for your beach wedding flowers.
Leis are probably the best known Hawaiian tradition that can easily be added to your wedding day. Also a Hawaiian tradition, headband, anklet or a Haku wristband is another Hawaii tradition that you can use to sprinkle color and uniqueness to your wedding.
Even if you do not have beach wedding on an island, it has become relatively cheap to find them on the mainland as well. The first step in choosing the flowers is to know what types are available where you’re getting married or know what can be imported into your wedding location.
Local styles and customs will also change, depending on where you are. You can plan your flower budget accordingly if you know what is available at your wedding location. Working with a florist or local wedding planner can be very helpful in this area.
Knowing what is available will also help to determine what color of your wedding will be for bridesmaid dresses and decorations. Roses
Roses are very well in hot climate which makes them popular choices for the beach wedding and any wedding. Use bouquets of red roses, or combine them with other beach wedding flowers such as lilies or bird of paradise. Roses come more than the color red so you can try mixing roses with white or yellow roses in with bright, tropical flowers.
Orchids
Orchids are colorful flowers that very resilient and can withstand hot, tropical weather. Specific colors including purple, white, yellow, pink and pale green. Use their own or with other colorful flowers to create stunning bouquets. They can also be part of your reception decorations and your ceremony.
Lilies
Heat resistance is just one of the reasons that make lilies a favorite among beach brides. Lilies are also impressive beautiful when used in bouquets or as decorations. A lot of brides choose bouquets of white, sometimes accented with red roses or other flowers. Pink and yellow are other popular lily colors.
Hibiscus
Usually found in pink or red, tropical will add new color and class to your wedding. Many island brides match hibiscus red with their bridesmaid’s gowns and wedding accent colors. Hibiscus can be used by themselves in bouquets or paired with other tropical flowers like lilies or orchids.
