Pure Color
why do people associate white (the color) as being pure?
Really? Why white? It’s the easiest to stain out of all the colors, and you can clorox it like no tomorrow. So why can’t pure be black? I mean, you can’t stain black, you can’t get any darker than that, so shouldn’t that be the purest? So does that mean the night is nay pure? Does that mean that anyone who cherishes black is supposedly the devil?
Would you prefer black or white? (not the people, the color thanks.)
Innocence and purity are easily corruptible, and it’s very hard to maintain them, so that’s why they’re associated with the color white. Besides, purity was long associated with light, and sunlight is white (if you don’t go into the physics of it). Also, people were always scared of the darkness, so they associated the “black” of night with everything negative, while the “white” light of day was safe and therefore pure.
And preferring black doesn’t make you evil, so long as you don’t go and kill anyone.
