Heart Cake
I would like to make a heart shaped valentines cake for my boyfriend?
All the sites that come up though when i put this in google is saying to make 2 layers, put one in a square oven proof tin and one in a round one so that you cut the round one in half and put on top of the square one so it looks like a heart.
I was wondering if i could just use a round one and cut a heart shape in to it? Is this more difficult than i think it is?
If you try to cut a heart shape into a round cake you will have 2 problems…
1. The finished product will be very tiny and…
2. It will be lopsided and look terrible.
It’s best to go with 1 square and 1 round. One cake mix will fill both.
