HOW TO MAKE CANDLES AND START A SOAP AND CANDLE BUSINESS?
I love candles and would like to a business on what i love. Any good tips on how to make candles and how to set up a candle & soap business. is there any good books either? please help?
There is a lot more to it than meets the eye. You will need the appropriate business and manufacturing licenses required in your area, catalogs and other marketing materials, a website, a business plan and LIABILITY INSURANCE.
A good way to earn while you learn about this type of business is to become a distributor for a candle and soap company that uses independent distributors or reps to market their products.
You can take advantage of the experience to learn about the industry, how the products are made, and just as importantly, how to market products.
Check out as many companies and their products as you can until you find the one that you think you like the best and try it for awhile.
After a few months or years of learning all that you can from the company you represent and also from other resources, you will have a better idea about how to proceed in starting your business.
